Thailand Mulls Bid To Host 2026 Youth Olympic Games Thailand is interested in hosting the 2026 Youth Olympic Games, it was revealed in PyeongChang this week during the Olympic Winter Games. Thai National Olympic Committee (NOC) President and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan told the Bangkok Post after a meeting with IOC President Thomas Bach “This year’s edition [of the Youth Olympic Games] will be taking place in Argentina and the next edition of 2022 is likely to be held in Africa.” “No country has so far expressed its interest to host the Games in 2026,” he added

Hi, First of all apologies if this is in the wrong place. I've just started some research looking at the legacies from bidding for events, and am seeking the Candidature Files from the failed bids from 2016 and 2020 (since the IOC started specifically asking this question). I have found the Candidature Files from Tokyo 2020 and Rio 2016, but am struggling to find Madrid 2016 Tokyo 2016 Chicago 2016 Istanbul 2020 Madrid 2020 This appears to mainly be because the official websites are long gone. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could point me in the direction of where I might find the miss

Hello all, I was wondering if Istanbul 2020's Olympic Website was still active? It appears to be down. I am looking for information on the infrastructure proposed and would love to have a look at their past 5 bids. Does anyone know where I could get that information (apart from IOC)? Given that the most recent BidIndex gave Tokyo its temporary relief over Istanbul due to a slight increase in public support, it won't be for the long run. Having a really strategic plan meant long enough before it became ousted from making it into the shortlist, which eventually went to Albertville. And after losing their 1994 bid to Lilliehammer during the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, they said: "No more, we're wasting money on such nonsense!"
