  1. Hey,

I was wondering if you had any coverage from Seoul 1988 (specifically NBC's weekend and weekday morning coverage, plus the full primetime shows from days 3, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15), plus the primetime coverage of days 2 and 3 from Barcelona. If so, I'd be interested in trading for your copies of them. I can send you my list of coverage, as well. Thanks!

    Chris

      Triplecast

Chris - As for Seoul, I have most of the NBC stuff, on the Triplecast, I have track, swimming, gymnastics, diving, equestrian, and a few other things.

I 'm not really looking to trade anything, but I'm able to share things once I get it converted and uploaded.  But that is a very slow process.

The one thing I would love to trade for probably doesn't exist anywhere - is 1968, both winter and summer.  I've found a few clips on Youtube but nothing substantial.  If those tapes still existed, I wish ABC would make them available.  I was 12 that year, and it hooked me on the Olympics forever.

As far as I know, only the Paley Center in New York and Los Angeles has copies of the 1968 broadcasts (and all American TV coverage going back to 1960). It would be nice if they digitized them, though.

In terms of the Seoul coverage, I'm mainly looking for a complete version of the second-to-last day's coverage (specifically the water polo and men's volleyball finals).

As for the Triplecast, I have the full artistic gymnastics competition plus most of the Dream Team basketball games (except for Angola, Germany and Puerto Rico), the soccer final (Spain-Poland) and the men's springboard diving finals. I also have post-Games replays, which were taped from a regional sports cable channel, of the last 2 days of the track competition and the last day of swimming.

When you upload these videos, though, I'd recommend you do so on archive.org. That way you won't run the risk of copyright problems if you were to post them on YouTube. By the way, digital copies of these are fine with me. Thanks and please keep in touch.

      Chris

      Hey,

What other sports did you manage to tape from the 1992 Triplecast besides the ones you mentioned before? As I said before, I'd be very interested in seeing what you have when you get the opportunity to upload everything. I can accept digital copies as opposed to DVDs. Thanks.
