I think it most highly unlikely that the Tokyo Olympics or any other event held next year would have to be cancelled. -
Paris 2024 Presentation

Ive just read the Original Plant of the apes,by Pierre Boulles, the Charlton Heston film is a very good and intelligent interpretation of the book (not identical) but a very good interpretation the ending of the film with the statue of liberty is a very good abbreviation of the ending in the book. (Tim Burton film was an insult to the book) but the more recent films are OK and also based on passages in Pierre Boulles book. I can see the statue of liberty in the center of the Olympic stadium may be keeled over sticking out the sand as in the film, then becoming more upright by the en -

2020 Tokyo Olympic Cauldron
The Tower Bridge Fox replied to AustralianFan's topic in Tokyo 2020 Ceremonies Discussions
The London 2012 cauldron should be moved from the Museum of London to the Olympic park which is where it belongs. It was also disappointing for visitors to the London 2012 Olympic park during the Olympics that the cauldron couldn't be seen from outside the stadium if they didn't have tickets for that. So what ever Tokyo do they should make sure the cauldron has maximum visibility -

They must keep it burning, and they should hold a symbolic ceremony on the date Tokyo 2020 should have started.

I wouldn't have liked London 2012 to become london 2013. So I think its good to keep the same name for what ever the reason. -

it was agreed that the Olympic flame will stay in Japan. It was also agreed that the Games will keep the name Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.” – Joint Statement I agree with this, its the postponement of the same event not the creation of a new one. -

They should still call it Tokyo 2020 and keep the flame burning, may be hold some small event on the day it should have started. My sympathies at the moment are with the People of Tokyo. -

Editor's note: This story has been edited to clarify that the Tokyo Olympics have not been officially postponed yet. I don't admire Canada decision to pull out. The games are under review and they could have waited Olympic games have host nations that should be respected postponing an olympics isent somthing you skip and dance into. -
So exiting when the torch was in London 2012. I Hope for the Japanese people the games goes ahead as planned.
