Here is Singapore, there isn't much about the Paralympics. It would have been lesser if it weren't for Singapore's 4 medals. The irony here in Singapore is an Olympic Gold medalist would be given $1 million while our Paralympic Gold Medalist Yip Pin Xiu who is local born will only be getting one-tenth of that for her Gold, $100 000. Just a comparison, our silver medalist for the Woman Table Tennis who are all for China was given $750 000 in total for their medal.

Singapore has really done well this year. This is the first time Singapore won medals in the Paralympics. We sent 5 paralympics and we've got 4 medals ! One Gold, One Silver and Two Bronze.

I had this lesson about Olympic Education during PE today. Wasn't much really, just a youtube video about the Anicent olympics and some introduction to the modern olympics and Pierre de Coubertin. My PE teacher ended treating to a drink after I answered his question, "When did the modern olympics started ?" Lols.

It takes a little over an hour to travel for the east end to the west end of Singapore. At most, the local half of the relay will take 3-5 days . My bet is there will be international half as well.

With the Beijing olympics over, which athletes have shown a promising future for London 2012 ? I'd say Tom Daley is one to look out for in London in front of the home crowd. He'll be 18 by then. I don't want to sound biased here but Singapore's Tao Li is another athlete I'll look out for in London. She has recieved feedback from the Aussie swim queen, Libby Tricket ! She finished 5th in Beijing for the 100m Butterfly.

Yup. For Diving, the age limit is 14. The age limit differs for each sport. Take swimming for example, Seychelles sent a 13 year old in the 100m Freestyle , I think.

I have admit Armenia is another surprise. They won no medals in Athens but have won not one, not two but five in Beijing. All bronze ! Their best performance since competing as an independent state.
