Would you be interested in a pair of tickets for AT14?

The big deal is that they've been using the champions league as the excuse for not letting him go, and now it comes out they've been misleading people who want to see him in Beijing and have been following Serie A to see if Milan will qualify or not. Also, any tournament that Kaka wants to play in is high-profile enough for me.

I find this very disappointing: Milan prevent Kaka from going to Olympics The only way this will be beneficial is if the United States plays Brazil during the tournament. But if Brazil is in the semifinal i have tickets to, I will be very upset if AC Milan keep me from the chance if watching Kaka in person. This is extremely disappointing considering that the excuse we've been hearing from Milan is that they would need Kaka for the Champions League qualifying rounds. So I was very excited today when Fiorentina won and knocked AC Milan out of the CL altogether. Hours later Milan pull this crud out of their sleeve.

I think they're being a little protective cuz the Olympics is a two week tournament with 16 teams and the world cup is a month long tournament with 32 teams. I think the sport would have more exposure if the senior teams were participating in the Olympic tournament, and it still wouldn't overshadow the world cup.

yeah, it's the U-23's. why wouldn't they let the senior teams play?

This page on FIFA's website explains that the European Under 21 championships in June will serve as qualification for the Olympic tournament in Beijing. All of a sudden, this aint just an ordinary U-21 tournament. Israel, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Czech Republic, England, Netherlands and Serbia have qualified for the U-21 championships. I know for Israel, the Olympics would be their first major tournament since Montreal 1976, so there is some big pressure for these young men to get the senior team to beijing.

China Bowl The patriots and seahawks are going to play a preseason game, called the China Bowl, next year in Beijing at Workers Stadium on Aug. 8, 2007 to kickoff the one-year countdown to the opening ceremony. NBC is gonna carry the game live at 8:30 in the morning. The game will be the first NFL game ever in china. Press Conference
