  1. I'm more eager for the 2015 PanAm than the 2016 Olympics.

At least we can compete in the PanAmerican games, lol. It's so nice to see Brazilians competing with good chances in every sport hehe. We'll probably win 18 medals in 2016, if lucky. That'll be a shame.

As for 2015 i think it all depends what other countrys make it in for say soccer/basketball/baseball if most of the strong countrys make it were going to be in for a long games as for womens soccer what makes it worse is with the womens world cup going on so the Pan Am could see our b squad.

  2. The Games will return to North America, but the IOC don't want to go to the US as they are scared of: a) Another Atlanta. B) More scandal allegations. c) Being seen to be US-biased, & d) Being forced to drop their in-venue advertising rules by USOC, NBC, & sponsors. Due to this, Toronto is arguably in one of the best positions of any potential bid city. They know that when it's North America's turn, they just need to not do anything stupid, do everything they need to do, & the Games are theirs. And I will be delighted if/when that happens, as Canada is one of my favourite countries, & it would be great to see a Canadian Summer Olympics.

What wil hurt Toronto is the massive debt Ontario has if it comes down to they would need $1 billion plus from Ontario there would be alot of push back and i would not count on Ontario or even the feds willing to give money again to Toronto a few years after the Pan Am games.

  3. The issue Toronto might have is possible backlash from the rest of the country if they come out and say we need say a billion dollars from the feds and Ontario not to long after the pan am games i can't see the rest of the country taking that very well and more or less say you want the games fine you have to fund it 100% on your own.
