Barcelona, train around through to Marseille, head into Italy, and then ferry from Bari to Patras . Superfast ferry bus takes you to Athens, hop on a ferry to Santorini. Perfect. Depending how much time you have too. A trip to Patras will give you a good connection to Pyrgos and onwards to Olympia.

Tough one. I would have said the Christchurch cathedral, but that was destroyed in the quake. It is known as the GardenCity, because of all the gardens and parkland. It has the Southern Alps running very close as the backdrop to the city. It's current landmarks include the chalice, google it. The official colours of Canterbury are red and black. The Avon River runs through it. Umm yeah, Canterbury (the province that Chch is in is also pretty good for Whale watching.

Its funny, in all my existance of living here in the Shakey Isles, I've never once felt an earthquake. Funnily enough, I did experience one when I was in Rome.

yup . it certainly does Alex, it's disgusting. I live round the corner from Mt Dury and the main beach has been cleaned up quite a bit over the last day or so, but it's still not a pretty picture. Also read about that intentional thing, you know some shiz is gunna go down

I am mate, was straight back into work, work... and more work. Yeah, a large container ship bunged itself on a reef so oil is covering the coastline where I live. Been down helping with the cleanup. Very unhappy people here.
