I may be wrong, but from what I’ve seen, the podiums are just three blocks they bring out and just plonk down wherever, sometimes not even that well aligned. They’ve sometimes looked haphazardly placed and messy, Probsbly dependent on how level the ground is they’re placed down on. And in this case, surely they could have just taken the right hand Ibronze) podium and just placed it next to the left to create a double silver platform? Like a lot of the Look, I’m just finding the podiums serviceable, but nothing special - indeed even a bit cheap.

I know Climate 2000 were planning protests away from the venues, but never heard of them actually happening. I’ve watched a selection of sports now, and I dunno… as you say, the look does It’s job, but it’s just not doing it for me. Don’t dislike it, but not grabbed at all by it.

I’m disliking it more and more too. Those who know these things, how would it have worked? Would it have been Mariah who came up with the arrangement? Or Balich or the music director or whoever who though “hey, let’s turn an upbeat joyful popular Italian singalong song into a dreary dirge slow, subdued ballad that morphs into one of her own lesser-known songs”?
