  1. The full version of BBC's trail on YouTube, available in HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlbAsVnPzzE&list=LL5D32btCiCRZuk9h2rfpt3w&feature=mh_lolz
  2. Totally just posted on the wrong thread, ah well, here it is again... Amazing, slightly gutted that i gave into temptation but i would have found out about this idea sometime. I'm so glad they're including the national flowers in the ceremony, i remember years ago i wanted something like that to happen. I believe these flowers could possibly represent the olympic rings. Green hills, yellow daff, red rose, blue flax, and i'm pretty sure the thistle is dark enough to be the black ring as well judging by the prototype.

  4. I find them really nice. I think the costumes would look better and more presentable if the ladies' hairs were up though. The podium is very elegant.
  5. I've got mine on android and it works fine
  6. Oh, now I notice the results app coming soon haha
  7. Here's the page from the site with a bit of info and pictures http://www.london2012.com/mobileapps/ Do you think there's more apps to be launched if they've got a page specifically for mobile apps? Hmmm...
  8. London2012 have finally launched an app called 'Join In', very good one as well with a lot of info on the relay, sports, ceremonies and festivals. They've bought the logo to life as well in 3D :-D
  9. I can visualize a small-scale cauldron that won't compete with the orbit, and Boris probably ruined the plan of a tower to the north of the stadium (The one from the planning pdf that's been around for years) ever since introducing his orbit to the park. I can't see the area above the elevator shaft on the tower as a place for the cauldron either, as Heatherwick's design won't be able to be seen properly or appreciated. The orbit may even be a distraction, as not everyone will know that Heatherwick is behind the actual design and the orbit is the next most obvious thing to house the cauldron.
  10. As amazing as that might look the cauldron can't obstruct people's view from the events taking place on the track and field, not to forget that it can't get in the way of the screens as well :/ I'm stooped as to where the cauldron will be. The orbit is my first guess personally.
  11. I bloody hope it's an early Olympic-themed April fool's joke! I've only just got used to using the tube let alone this haha
  12. The hot pink uniforms aren't to be liked, they're to be seen. The same goes for every other contrasting colour used in venues and uniforms, it's so every visitor during the games can distinguish easily between different people and places.
  13. If the theme is Isles of wonder then I presume all of the UK will be included some way or another
  14. I can see Nimrod being a tearjerker if it's definitely included, but if they decide to make a contemporary twist then they'll need to be very clever to pull it off successfully! Can't believe these games are just around the corner
  15. Whiteread is most definitely my favourite, it's pleasing to the eye and obviously has a connection with the Olympics. Hume should be ashamed though, lack of thought, imagination, dreadful colours (As an Olympics poster surely it should have some excitement and bold/bright colours, it's Olympics for God sake!) and it doesn't even have a hint of an Olympic theme as it is! That guy's angered me actually
