  1. Well i think a draw is the most logical score, even if i believe france played a little better! Still i think England has more to be worry about that France at the moment! The French got them too easily at the off-side game, their possesion is way too low for such a team on paper and only 3 shots with all the possibilties they had (and just one on target) is really not enough! But still they were quite solid and there is room for improvement!
  2. Big lol at france moving to 7/1 and third favorites to win the damn thing when they haven't play yet!
  3. Well Portugal deserved better but if there is country i'm gonna forgive to be a little lucky it's Germany. They always play and go forward and i really feel that for the last six years the only thing they didn't have was a bit of luck so i'm gonna be cool with them this time! But if the defense and the middflieders don't improve a lot after this it's gonna be very difficult for the Germans to go very far
  4. That was a nice match to watch for sure! I think Ireland are a little hopeless now! I really think that what Trapattoni achieved with qualyfing is great and i don't want to be rude with him as he don't deserved that but i think he shouldn't have said that Ireland could win this and neither should have the Czech players & staff. If you want to be Greece 04 or Denmark 92 then focus on the match and just say you have a good team and you hope to have a nice euro like the danes did in 2012, don't tell the press you think you can win for sure when the competition is so hard. A true dark hose don't play in the open and tell everyone to get ready because they are that good, they just wait for the truth to be said on the pitch and let the other team thinking it would be an easy match! Ireland vs Croatia build-up to the match was really hilarious compared to the England vs France's one. Croatia & Ireland were both insisting on them being good and how far they can go while England & France are all about how hard the match is going to be and how hard it is to work with a team at the last moment or healing after so much bad results and how much they respect the other side But again i don't want to be hard on the irish manager, he did a really could job in a tough group in the qualyfiers both in 2010 & 2012 and did quite well today probably one of the weakest team on paper if you take every player separately, it is really great job and after all the dream is not over yet for Ireland Croatia was good but let Ireland take their chances a little too much for me to think they can go far.
  5. Putin is not gonna like that i Bet! Knowing him he is going to take measures against this soon, if there is one thing Vladimir doesn't like is for the world to have a bad image of great Russia in the world and in Europe and when he can act against it because it's not Russia other interest (let's not talk about politics, Journalism, human rights and Syria here) he does it. I already sense a very tight security at Sochi & Russia 2018 and some ugly measure against some football fans in the year. Apart from some Russian stupidity i think that's a great euro so far, beautiful matches, beautiful stadiums and nice fans. Putin is not gonna like that i Bet! 7. The reason why i think Madrid (and Istanbul) won't win is because i know IOC too much not to think some people there are already getting horny at the idea of having a Paris-Rome-Madrid-Some German city & Istanbul and maybe (depending on 2022 ) a US one. I know most of you will disagree with me (and i hope to be very wrong myself) but i do see IOC as an ogre already slavering at the idea of having another race like 2012 for 2024 and they just know it won't happen if Madrid wins. But despite this being a bad choice for my olympic dream in a french city, i really wish the best to Madrid would be awesome games (but so would be Istanbul & Tokyo)
  8. A celtic bid has no chance unless England is in the mix imo. I wonder why England don't go after this, they won't get the world cup any time soon unless there is major changes in the FiFA's voting procedure (and voters). If they want to host a football tournament this is by far their best chance! Anyway anyone from Spain, Germany, England, Italy, Netherlands & probably Portugal would be an extreme contender if they bid against the Georgia-Azerbaijan & Celtic nations combo at the moment. This is strange, i know there is a crisis going on but so many countries who wanted this so badly & bid a couple of times are now hiding when it's probably one of the easiest race to win ever (should of course Turkey be out of contention). But seriously if the UK's FAs in such bad terms that a Wales-England-Scotland bid isn't even a small possibility?
  9. Well as much as i feel sorry for the Ukraine governement, you can't blame federations for picking Poland when Ukraine provided worse, more expensive and with less equipement for training, hotels. It's just logical to go for a hotel farther but with a park, a pool or some woods near theam and better facilities. And besides it's not like football players aren't used to take a plane or a bus before a match.
  10. If the rules are changed, i won't be surprised by a french bid for 2026. My country truly loved the 1998 edition organized here.(don't know why ) And i think it was also a great sucess comercially and for Fifa. Besides, the fact that we have two french voters who will probably still, as they are quite young, be in the exco for the votes helps a lot. I have a feeling that many europeans voters voted for Qatar for the 'new frontiers' concept but also mainly because it is close to Europe (much closer than the others bid i mean) and they will have their matchs in decent times, which will allow europeans tv & fifa to win a lot of Money. I really think they will change the rules and that we will see a lot of europeans bids. And i think 2026-30 will be in Europe or Africa.I don't seem them going to Asia.Maybe only Argentina because it's a great country of football or USA but i doubt it.
  11. If i had to choose a few countries i think would be terrific host i would say Chile, Netherlands, Turkey, Morroco, Australia, maybe China, Egypt. I hope at least Qatar's victory will bring confidence for smaller countries to try to go for it.
  12. I just think that lately, their is a feeling among sportive organizations that it is time to go to new places. I don't say that Rio for the Olympics, Russia or Qatar for World cup are less deserving at all or that they had a bad bid, on the contrary i found the three bids very good. But that's just it, They never went to Eastern Europe, To Middle East & in South America and wanted to go and those great bids offered them the possibilty to do so. South Africa 2010 & Beijing 2008 show that new places can offer terrific and well-organized events to the world. Chicago & England very early exit show how much people wanted to go somewhere different, regardless of (and you could argue that) 'superior' bid.
  13. Yay we did it! I was sure most of uefa's members will choose a safe bet for their first euro with 24 teams & After all the trouble right now in Ukraine & Poland for 2012. Too bad for Turkey, but i'm sure they are next in line of they choose to big again as they deserved to be. Besides, there is no sports organisation who would refuse a extremely good team victory after three bids in a row anyway. What, what i'm hearing what is IOC, and i have never heard of that Korean City before, is it near any mountains?
