Look up. Look way way up. The new Wind Turbine Tower is now installed atop Grouse Mountain and it sure looked good glistening in the morning sunshine. It's painted white and you'll see it near the peak. It's easily visible from Vancouver and even the eastern suburbs. Is actually visible from Surrey but binoculars help. Today they add the three spokes that will turn in the wind. The Turbine will generate about one quarter of Grouse Mtn.'s electrical needs. The tower is 200 feet high and will have an elevator and observation deck. Adding the spokes will give a 300 foot overall height.

Wow! This is exciting! The Roof may indeed come off BC Place for the Olympics! Read this article where they say how they will light the Flame inside the Stadium and still have it visible outside is a closely guarded secret. Right now, pink coloured cranes are around BC Place and there is currently roof work going on as they are dismantling the ring beam that seals the roof to the structure!
