  1. Journalist and film-maker who investigated corruption in Fifa and the International Olympic Committee. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2022/mar/27/andrew-jennings-obituary
  2. I fail to see why you're all panicking. The chances of this woman or her party ever being elected to the Paris town hall are zilch! She belongs to a far left party called "La France Insoumise" (A Rebellious France) led by a fire breathing demagogue called Jean-Luc Mélenchon who still hasn't lived down the humiliation of having lost a presidential election he was probably the only one to think he could win! This call for a referendum is some last ditch & desperate call for attention. Nobody listens what she has to say and no one cares......
  3. <face-palm> You really need to find other sources of information than the xenophobic, lying & Putin snogging Daily Express!! Then again, reading anything else than that useless rag might give you a nose bleed.......
  4. 2023 Rugby World Cup: France beat South Africa and Ireland to host competition
  5. More crucially the debate revealed what a complete fraud and how completely unhinged MLP is. The following clip says it all..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN4fcjkRCGc Lord preserve us from this nut job!
  6. Those who voted for Brexit last year in order to "stick it up to Cameron and the Tories" without realising the mother of all $h1t-fest it would entail might be wise enough to vote Lib-Dem this time round.....
  7. Remember, this is only a *recommendation* made by a senatorial committee. It has yet to be accepted and implemented......
  8. "The US has elected its most dangerous leader. We all have plenty to fear" https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/nov/09/donald-trump-us-president-nightmare
  9. IOC president 'impressed' by Paris 2024 bid http://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/ioc-olympics-paris-2024-1.3788076
  10. The media and bidding team are keeping fairly low key about it at the moment for various reasons. First of all they don't want to get peoples' hopes up only to see them dashed again! ("Once burned, twice shy"). Secondly we're a year away from the vote and all the journos here are mainly concentrating on the may 2016 presidential & parliamentary elections. However the bid was frequently mentioned by pundits and medal winners during Rio 2016......
