  1. I don't think they would. It would be odd to go from 10:30pm China time (since it's airing on a 12 hour delay) to suddenly go to 10:30am China time & then back to 10:30pm. It would be nice if they did though. I will check on the events during the commercials & have NBCOlympics.com up.
  2. Actually yes lol. A lot of times, even though it says opening ceremony, NBC doesn't usually begin with the opening ceremony. They usually air some Americans practicing. For instance in 2006, it started with Bob Costas in the studios & he showed some videos of time trials of I believe alpine skiing. Then they went to the ceremony.
  3. My NBC station is still using all the wrong times. I saw an ad for The Olympic Zone that wasn't the national version, but was done my local affilliate. It still says it starts at 7:30 (ET) just before the opening ceremony. Then I just saw a promo for the website & it said "the opening ceremony at 8.8.08 at 8pm on channel 8" (I don't think my station is going to be too happy about losing all the 8s now.)
  4. Now NBCOlympics.com has update it's schedule again. Now Olympic Zone starts at 7/6c & Opening Ceremony at 7:30/6:30c. Whenever a breakdown of the ratings comes in, 7:30/6:30c I think will be significantly lower then the other half hours.
  5. Looks like I was right. They are just trying to get you to watch the Olympic Zone. NBC.com has updated it's listings. http://www.nbcolympics.com/tv_and_online_l...ncrement=162266
  6. I meant to watch the halftime show of the football game hoping they would show the studio. Thanks a lot for that. I really would have preferred for it to start at 8, since it would still be the whole 08.08.08 theme for the east coast. I would have expected the studio to be closer to the national stadium since that is where the BBC studios is.
  7. First off I never acted as if I was a know it all. I am saying that it will likely only be available to those with Canadian IPs for the same reason why CCTV 9 will not be airing any Olympics coverage. NBC has the rights to broadcast in America. CBC has the right in Canada. No where else. As of right now the videos work for me, but come 8.8.08, I'm not expecting it to work. I do hope that it does though. I think it's odd that CBC allows me to watch video online, since Global & CTV don't allow me to. Also to whoever that rediculous poster before me, that targeted me for no reason, since you know something, I would expect you to know it's "you don't know anything". So clearly all you proved, was that you don't know anything.
  8. Hm. I'm not sure, I plan on napping between 5pm-8pm basically every day once the Olympics begin. Maryjane-I checked BBC One & BBC 2 listings & I didn't see anything until 8.8.08 with the opening ceremony.
  9. I'm not sure how to edit, so I"m sorry for the double post. It appears that it does start on 8.8.08. So I think perhaps they are just trying to get you to watch the Olympic Zone.
  10. Oh the Olympic Zone is back? I'll have to check my local NBC schedule. I wasn't sure. I only watched that leading up to the opening ceremony. Didn't it start like three days before the opening ceremony in 2006?
  11. I've got a question. I was under the impression that the Olympics Opening Ceremony would air on NBC at 8/7c. However, I saw an ad tonight saying 7:30/6:30c. I check NBC.com, NBCOlympics.com, & TV Guide.com. All said 8/7c. Has NBC decided to change it at the last minute?
  12. I saw the Beijing Stadium one, but I didn't see the Aquatic one, since it was on at midnight.
  13. In the United States, National Geographic is airing two Olympics specials. One is on the Bird Nest & will air at 3pm. The other one is on the Cube and will air at 4pm EST. Also, the NBC Evening News begins reporting live from Beijing tonight. Today will start airing from Beijing on Monday.
  14. I thought Friends Forever was the theme song.
  15. NBC is airing it on a 12 hour delay. The East Coast of the USA is 12 hours behind Beijing.
