  3. The growing size ceremonies in every event, such the Universiade Olympic scale ceremonies, I totally think is due to the massive impact of social networks and YouTube. Past decades few people had access to those ceremonies, unles they were Olympic ones, but today in every corner of the planet you can watch them live or on the video. Today, ceremonies are forever, not only for the moment... By the way... I'm looking for a good version of Salt Lake 2002 Opening Ceremonies... where can i have it? Here you have the Opening Ceremony of the X South American Games (Odesur Games) held in Santiago

  5. Months later than Chile had been held the America Cup, it will host the FIFA World Cup U - 17. From October 17 and November 8. The city of the final match is to be defined. It is known it will not be in Santiago. There are 8 host cities that will hold the matches.
  6. The Final draw will be on October 27 in Viña del Mar, one of the host cities.
  7. Renovations in the National Stadium have been a too controversial point. In 2010 was supposed to have a big renovation, but the total lack of planification rid off all plans. After this polemic "renovation" (which the fieldtrack was changed, the inside VIP rooms and the changing rooms were enlarged and and they reduced the capacity from 80.000 to 65.000 due to the instalation of individual sits) no new renovation has been announced, just plans... but with no confirmations. It has been said that a roofing stadium is too complicated due to the structure itself (???)... The other stadiums hav

  12. Pan Am Winter Games are not possible. After they cancelled to host the Winter Pan Am, no other try was done, and I think it has no sense to do it. Only could compete Canada, USA in the north.... any country in Central America (Jamaica may be) and Argentina and Chile in the south... No future can be found on those games... About 2023 Pan Ams, the Sport Minister in Chile has stated that Chile could bid again for the Pan Ams with Santiago. After the organization of the South American Games, which were a success in terms of public (nobody expected that people could catch such attention) now the

  19. Americo is a famous singer (here in Chile) of "tropical dancing" music (a really shame his participation according to my likes) And about the miners we do not BELIEVE Piñera has abused of the miners event... HE DOES ABUSE!!! of the miners event. Personally I'm sick of them!!! Another shame in the event. Remember, his goverment took miner Mario to the 2019 Pan Am bid presentation in Toronto and the result were... as everybody knows...
  20. There will be Americo which is a famous "tropical" music singer, Los Jaivas, which are, maybe, the most respected band of folk music in Chile and it's announced some artist from other Southamerican countries will patrticipate in the event. Ricardo Montaner is not Chilean, he is from Venezuela.

  22. No. that's not true. There were conversation at the beggining of the planifications, but no agreement was done. The ceremony will be produced by a local enterprise. The miners will be part of the ceremony, but no information has been unveiled yet. I don't know the numbers of the athletes participating in the Games. The ceremony will be broadcasted by TVN http://www.tvn.cl/player/envivo/
