    I've been overall disconnected from stuff but i'm glad to see the Olympic spirit is slowly starting to get lit as we're getting more news. I love the poster. Its radically different from usual but I love the jigsaw concept and its fantasy approach.Also you can also take a little glimpse of the little mascots having fun as well. Like I said in another thread, let the incels cry a bit harder about "wokism" and don't even waste your time promoting any stupidity they spew from their mouths (bad choice by BBC btw). The Olympics have always been an event for everyone, and after a series of Olympcis which have been used for self glorification and nationalism, i'm glad we're going back to the concept of universality and world unity again.

    Also, reminder Japan was originally going to have a weasel (Snowple) for mascot in 1998 until he got replaced by the owls .

    Indeed, they remind me of the SLC mascots a bit, except without the Flash animation which aged worse than milk To be fair I don't know if its because i had low expectations, specially after how godawful Neve and Gliz were, but my first impression is very good. I wonder is there a longer version of the animation.

    Short but straight to the point in order to not make it boring for the athletes who surely had fun at the end when the ceremony became a glorified K-Pop concert. Although I imagined they would do more in the Pyeongchang dome than just beggining the torch relay/sing the anthem over there.

    You can tell its the same director of Pyeongchang 2018 (usage of short films, the entrance of the national flag, countdown, etc). The first number with the students was pretty nice. I like the joint entrance of flags for this ceremony, since it helps shorten time significantly. Given the YOG parade of nations has always been flag only, this is justified. I just hope it doesn't become a trend for the Olympics.

    Lmao, they're VERY desperate to wash their image. The saddest thing is I saw this coming from a mile ever since months ago, given how they've invested so much in getting every single event. After they got the 2034 WC anyone doubting they wouldn't also put their hands in the Expo was too optimistic. On the brighter side, SK should now solely focus in getting the Summer Olympics. That is if Bach doesn't sell himself to the Saudis like everyone else has been doing.
