  1. As per one of the other topics discussing the plan protest of the Olympics Torch Relay as it nears Vancouver. I want to start this post to protect the "Flame". The Torch route is going to pass right by my son's school and the school is planning a big event to welcome it. If there is any idoits going the ruining it for my son's school I will stop them.

I do believe they have the rigth to protest but I want to make sure that they don't cross the line. If they do I hope the police will stop them or else I will jump in.

  2. I am not sure why everyone here is complaining about why VANOC is only accepting VISA? Visa paid to be a sponsor for the Olympics. Mastercard or AMEX could have done the same. I don't hear people complaining that they cannot buy Pepsi at the Olympics when Coke is the main sponsor.

There is a reason why these companies paid huge amounts of money to be a sponsor..... They want the exculsive business and if you don't like it then just use cash.

  3. Hi Everyone

I have 4 extra Men's Hockey game tickets for sale at cost.

    Czechoslovakia vs Lativia

    Friday, Feb 19 @ 4:30 pm

    Section 120

    Row 9

    These tickets are $150 each.

I will give 1 pair of Victory Ceremony Tickets for each pair of hockey tickets sold.

The Victory Ceremony tickets is for the same day (Feb 19 @ 6:30 pm). The Victory Ceremony is right beside the Canada Hockey Place. So, right after the hockey game, you can just walk next door to the Victory Ceremony.

  4. VANOC: Olympic ticket website not working

    No timeline for repairs

    Sonia Aslam/Jill Drews VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) | Saturday, November 7th, 2009 11:16 am

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The last wave of Olympic tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, but website problems are making things difficult for ticket buyers. VANOC says it is having technical problems with its website.

There's no word on what the problems could be, but they hope to have the site running smoothly soon. One News1130 listener e-mailed us to say he can't even log on.

Mike phoned News1130 and tells us he's had nothing but problems all morning. "It's been a nightmare. Forty-five minutes to get on the website and then once I was on I thought, 'OK, I'm going to buy tickets,' and then there was no link to actually buy the tickets. It kept taking me back to a screen that said 'Phase Two tickets go on sale in June."

Mike adds it's a major issue for people who've been waiting months to get their tickets and it's nothing but frustrating.

  5. Too bad you are not coming up this weekend. The Pacific Pin Club is having their monthly meeting tomorrow, Oct 25.

If you are staying downtown, you can make some arrangements with some of the Vancouver traders to meet you at the Coca-Cola store to do some trades.
