  2. It is located in the HBC Store (Hudson Bay Co) downtown. Georgia Street & Granville Street I hear there is very long line ups to get in. If you are looking for some simply Team Canada or Olympic items, just to one other HBC stores in Vancouver. No line ups.

  5. As per one of the other topics discussing the plan protest of the Olympics Torch Relay as it nears Vancouver. I want to start this post to protect the "Flame". The Torch route is going to pass right by my son's school and the school is planning a big event to welcome it. If there is any idoits going the ruining it for my son's school I will stop them. I do believe they have the rigth to protest but I want to make sure that they don't cross the line. If they do I hope the police will stop them or else I will jump in. Go Canada Go
  6. These videos is not directly linked to the Olympics but it is one of the best scenic videos of Vancouver. http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20100126/bc_vancouver_video_100126/20100127?hub=BritishColumbia
  7. If you go to the other HBC (Bay or Zellers)in the Vancouver area they all have some Olympic items for sale. They don't have the full selection but at those other locations you can use any for of payment(Visa, Mastercard or Amex)
  8. I am not sure why everyone here is complaining about why VANOC is only accepting VISA? Visa paid to be a sponsor for the Olympics. Mastercard or AMEX could have done the same. I don't hear people complaining that they cannot buy Pepsi at the Olympics when Coke is the main sponsor. There is a reason why these companies paid huge amounts of money to be a sponsor..... They want the exculsive business and if you don't like it then just use cash.

  11. VANOC: Olympic ticket website not working No timeline for repairs Sonia Aslam/Jill Drews VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) | Saturday, November 7th, 2009 11:16 am VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The last wave of Olympic tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, but website problems are making things difficult for ticket buyers. VANOC says it is having technical problems with its website. There's no word on what the problems could be, but they hope to have the site running smoothly soon. One News1130 listener e-mailed us to say he can't even log on. Mike phoned News1130 and tells us he's had nothing but problems all morning. "It's been a nightmare. Forty-five minutes to get on the website and then once I was on I thought, 'OK, I'm going to buy tickets,' and then there was no link to actually buy the tickets. It kept taking me back to a screen that said 'Phase Two tickets go on sale in June." Mike adds it's a major issue for people who've been waiting months to get their tickets and it's nothing but frustrating.
