Vancouver 2010 at Torino 2006 Closing Ceremony
Guardian replied to IceNarcissus's topic in Vancouver 2010 Winter Games
This picture kind of reminds me of the beginning sequence of the Sydney 2000 opening ceremony, where they did use horses to make the Olympic Rings. However, that was then and this is what may come up. I don't expect anything fancy in the presentation, but it wouldn't cross my mind if we end up having to see them again. -

Vancouver 2010 at Torino 2006 Closing Ceremony
Guardian replied to IceNarcissus's topic in Vancouver 2010 Winter Games
All the more reason I want to see how it will turn out over there at Torino. Of course, the flag hand-over ceremony to mayor Sullivan and the rendition of the Canadian national anthem, too, to some of us. -
I like the logo. And, speaking of Dr. Jackson, he is really busy lately. However, he has great credentials behind his name, when it comes to the Olympic Games.

5 years. That's quick. :: Anyway, Sydney did an excellent job in hosting the 2000 Olympic Games. I heard that some of the people who was part of making those Games the way it operated is being asked to help out the upcoming Games in their preparations. However, it will be interesting on how some of those venues will be used for the 2008 World Youth Day and the 2009 World Masters Games.

IOC commission for Vancouver Games holds meeting
Guardian replied to Guardian's topic in Vancouver 2010 Winter Games
Highly doubt it. I think this meeting was more of the update on what it really matters for the city so far, like the usual issues when it comes to the Olympic Games. -

Well, guys, the time is almost here. The "new" idea of making these boards work during tomorrow's host city vote starts. I'll be making sure that I'll be here to find out. Overall, I hope the forums can handle it.
