The ecological cost of travelling the flames around the world and Australia will come under scrutiny, with the relay itself cancelled.

Why did the Ballroom DanceSport decide THEY should become the authority on Breaking? Its the equivalent of Tennis becoming the authority on Rugby. Idiots.- 53 replies

Kip Williams should be the lead for the Artistic/Creative Director for the Brisbane Opening and Closing Ceremonies. https://kip-williams.com/ -

LA 2028 Ceremonies
Red Centaur replied to baron-pierreIV's topic in Los Angeles 2028 Ceremonies Discussions
The danger with the OCs is the current projection of their evolution. I would not be surprised if the OCs are one day replaced with an movie about the host city and Olympism. I would expect they would have another smaller ceremony for the parade of nations. -

The world deserves and yearns for an inspiring show. LA - being the home of storytelling - is well placed to deliver. -

LA will be of its time, in whichever way the artists wish to convey the story. I trust the artists to make something memorable. -

I find it strange that people think the Klepsydra section was not stadium friendly. I think it was and more. The idea of time happening simultaneously around the water was very successful - and I imagine from the back rows it would have been a feast for the eyes. If anything, the compromise was for the cameras that focused in on one thing at a time. -

LA is a place with a huge 'story telling' economy. This is its strength. I look forward to seeing how its artists and creatives define LA, the USA, and Olympism for the current generation. -

I hope we get Honey BooBoo, the cast of Entourage, a Gwyneth Paltrow goop smelling cauldron, and a Kardashian relay race to light it. -
LA 2028 Ceremonies

I'm really looking forward to the LA2028 Olympic ceremonies, especially seeing how American artists define and share their culture. Culture has so many definitions, and it’s constantly evolving. If they choose to present the USA in an expanded Super Bowl halftime show format, with celebrities and bands, that's valid. However, there’s also a risk that this approach might lose some of the originality and grandeur that traditional opening ceremonies are known for. It’ll be interesting to see how they balance that - if that is the approach they choose to follow. -
Paris to LA Handover Ceremony
Red Centaur replied to Red Centaur's topic in Los Angeles 2028 Ceremonies Discussions
The LA handover was pure celebrity culture. This is American culture!! There is no where else on the planet that handover could be from. I felt quite emotional to see the Olympic flag back in the coliseum.
