I thought Asunción (Paraguay) had a good shoot to host it, but looks like it's too late for them now as Lima (Peru) was selected to do so which will be the second time they will do so after they did in 2019.

I heard three days ago that Poland, Romania, Czech Republic (Czechia), Slovakia and Turkey (Türkiye) will co-host the Women's EHF Euro 2026 as replacements for Russia. That decision was made to top women's handball in European market. The reason it was that was all three bids did not fulfilled their requirements and was considered to made it five hosts according to Romanian media. It was confirmed on International Women's Day this week. It will take place from December 3 to 20, 2026. It will be held in six cities: Katowice (Poland), Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Oradea (Romania), Brno (Czechia), Bratislava (Slovakia) and Antalya (Türkiye). All six cities will host the preliminary round. Katowice (Poland) and Cluj-Napoca (Romania) will host the main round. The final weekend will be held in Katowice (Poland). https://www.eurohandball.com/en/news/en/organisers-for-women-s-ehf-euro-2026-confirmed/ There is a possibility that all five could automatically qualify as co-hosts.
