Will likely be held in January 2034. December is out because Ramadan will be then and it's impossible for sporting events to be held during that time. February is out because of the WOGs. No real option except for January 2034.

That's possible also to avoid clash with the Asian Games being held also in December and hosted by Riyadh.

  2. We already know Saudi Arabia will host the AFC Asian Cup 2027. It is expected to take place from January 15th to February 8th, 2027.

It will take place across four cities with eight venues.

    City Stadium Capacity
Riyadh King Fahad Sports City Stadium 70,200
    King Saud University Stadium 27,220
Prince Faisal bin Fahad Sports City Stadium 46,865
Jeddah King Abdullah Sports City Stadium 65,000
    Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium 27,000
Dammam Prince Mohammed bin Fahad Stadium 22,042
Al Khobar Aramco Stadium (New) 46,096
Prince Saud bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium 24,440

The teams so far we have 18 who have already qualified.

Next March and the same month in 2026 the final six spots will be determined.

  3. I heard that Morocco, Portugal and Spain has a higher score of 4.2 which them and Saudi Arabia's 2034 bid are the highest scoring candidates of any FIFA World Cup bidders surpassing Canada, Mexico and USA's 2026 joint bid of 4.0, that's amazing. While Argentina-Paraguay-Uruguay's centenary joint bid has a score of 3.6, we are less than two weeks away for the final decision for these bidders to be ratified as official hosts.

r/worldcup - (WC2030) Just like Saudi Arabia's 2034 bid, Morocco, Portugal and Spain's 2030 World Cup bid also had a higher score of 4.2. Both Morocco-Portugal-Spain 2030 and Saudi Arabia 2034 are highest World Cup bidders ever surpassing Canada, Mexico and USA's 2026 bid score of 4.0.

  5. After what we witnessed with the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia, this month we are about to begin the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in the Dominican Republic as it will be the first time that Dominican Republic has ever hosted the FIFA tournament. This will also be the final edition to both feature 16 teams and held biannually before expanding to 24 teams and to be held annually beginning next year in Morocco.

I hope the UEFA will expand the EURO up to 32 teams. Shouldn't be a problem with teams like Sweden, Norway, Bosnia, Wales or Greece missed this year. There is enough quality in Europe for a bigger tournament.

Read somewhere that UEFA is considering this for 2032, so you could add one more stadium in each country.

These sources said it might be possible. But i'm not sure. Anything can happen. 2032 will only be held in five cities for one country each (5 in Italy and 5 in Turkey).

  7. I started the topic on the torch for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games Milano/Cortina. Do you have any ideas for a design? I created my design and also worked on the possible torch relay logo.

    Here my torch designs:

Both of my torch designs each represents the dolomite mountains shape along with some of Milano's architecture which are all inspired by it and it also colored in the flag of Italy.

It feels like it only really matters to the UK (the bragging rights for England of beating Australia or failing that & for the home nations & Islands, the internal rivalry & novelty of seeing you represented), Australia (beating the Poms), & maybe NZ (how close can they get to England and Australia). The other countries in Asia , Africa & the Americas have their own continental games that are really more important now - which is logical. And a lot of the time you can't really blame them for not wanting much to do with it, given the origin & history. Even Canada doesn't really seem interested anymore. It probably is time to accept that they've come to the end, we should embrace the European Games, whichever one actually wins out (maybe ask nicely if our countries can compete separately?) & ANZ & the Oceania islands should join the Asian Games so every country still has a major Games below the Olympics to attend.

    Glasgow is most likely.
