  1. Hi everyone. Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just wanted to check if any progress had been made over the years since the Rio ceremonies regards to obtaining the details of the tracks I mentioned in my previous post? Has any of that unreleased music seen the light of day yet?
  2. Hi everyone. I have been searching for quite some time now trying to ascertain the names of certain pieces of music used in the opening and closing ceremony. Having read through this thread it appears at least one of these compositions has not been officially released yet. I thought it might be worth rechecking again anyway since this thread hasn't been updated in a while. Here are the compositions I'd like to find more about: Opening Ceremony - Composition that plays during the cauldron lighting - Composition that plays during the fireworks immediately following the cauldron lighting. It's an orchestral piece, and sounds very similar to the music used in the earlier segment showing when the Europeans first arrived on the ships in Brazil. Closing Ceremony - Composition that plays during the segment that starts with the female explorer holding the lamp. - Composition that plays during the "best moments" montage, immediately after Asa Branca. Any info much appreciated. Seems crazy that a full soundtrack wasn't released as I thought the music was the strongest element of these ceremonies.
