  1. Well, we have here a process to future games, so these might not be just for 2036 or specifically targeting that date; it was said that the projects are in very different stages of development after all. With that said, and only listing the known bidders mentioned on the article: BRITAIN: London or Birmingham or bust. SOUTH KOREA: It would be just 18 years since PyeongChang, but it would be a summer games in Seoul, last hosting in 1988. It would go hand in hand, if you allow that pun, to go for 2036 with a more pacifist message. EGYPT: It would be awesome to have games in Africa, but there is a autocracy breeding there, and does the country have what it takes? Of course, nothing that good management (or Saudi money) can´t resolve. GERMANY: Could be a favorite, but does they actually want it from the IOC? Does Germany want a olympics 100 years after that time in Berlin? That remains to be seen. INDIA: If it doesn´t fall into a Hindu teocracy, could work if they manage it well...and get past the shadow of the 2010 Commonwealth Games. INDONESIA: Could be cool, but nope. Capital´s Sinking and New Capital isn´t built yet; Indonesia, focus on geting the new capital ready first before you add a Olympics at it. MEXICO: Good luck. Can work with a good management, and that´s key to all developing countries trying to host. QATAR: GOOD LUCK TO YA WITH THE IOC´S TIME FRAME REQUIREMENTS! Nothing that a good bribe can´t fix but come on, the IOC is not FIFA. They wouldn´t get away with a summer games in Qatar. AT ALL.

  2. Unlike you, I‘m not taking joy in repeating myself endlessly here, so again feel free to search for some older posts of mine where I have e.g. deliberated on the Lohrheide stadium. And look for that 2032 concept in between your incessant XXXX 2036 posts that add precisely zero value to any meaningful debate on here.

  4. That looks really cool. Can't help thinking they'd be better off doing the Olympics one there too, if the last two London Jubilee parades are anything to go on then dry land > river - plus I mean come on, it's the Champs Elysées! Very good to see they've given the same style to the Paralympic opening instead of just sticking it in the Stade de France

  5. Seems so far like Buenos Aires 2018 opening but done correctly. Paralympic ceremonies have been better than their counterparts as of late, and this seems to be a repeat of it.

  8. Nah mate, you’re the lazy one. YOU just denigrated many venues in Rhine-Rhur. I asked which venues are not up to standard? Then from then on you have not been able to name the so-called “many Rhine Rhur Venues you say are not up to standard”. Well sunshine, I don’t believe you. …. and you are too lazy to back yourself up. I’m certainly not going to do your dirty work for you. If you believe Rhine Rhur’s venues are not up to standard, that is on you. I really do now think you in Munich, are in competition with Rhine Rhur as a candidature for the 2036 Games. To your last point: YES the New Norm era of Olympic Hosting has generated a Crowded Field of Interested Partes for the 2036 Games. YES the IOC just confirmed they are in Dialogue with TEN COUNTRIES officially validating that there is a Crowded Field. YES I posted in all TEN of the 2036 Threads who I believed were that ten. YES this is the first time in history under New Norm that this has happened = 10 countries. Now all you can do is whinge and complain that I posted in each of those TEN threads. Sounds like sour grapes from you about missing out on the 2032 Games last year, since again it was you who signposted that just then when you dug up 2032 all over again …. of your own accord. Your Words: have denigrated
