  1. Yeah so it is December 25 here and you gentiles love worshipping some fatfuck who breaks and enters via a chimney and stupidly leaves stuff instead of taking that sweet flatscreen tv and the blu-ray set of the original Batman series that you just had to have express shipped by Amazon the day it came out... So yeah. Whatever. Try not to choke on your turduckens and sense of smug superiority over the "lesser faiths" of the world. MONSTERS!!!! YOU ARE ALL MONSTERS!!!

  2. Unless it's changed, the two cities in Africa with anywhere nears enough hotel accommodation for a major event like the OSGs are Cairo and Durban. Both have issues, obviously, but on balance Durban is the more likely bid. Capetown is stunning but surprisingly small. Where would they build the hotels, let alone the additional sport venues? Joburg is ostensibly larger, but it's got major international PR issues. Though Durban isn't exactly safe, it doesn't have the negative reputation that Joburg has.

  3. The same happenedd to me when I was leaving Leicester Square Station, two years ago. That happens every where. However one shouldn´t be so concerned about that even in Copacabana during the Games. Rio has already shown to be very succesful in providing appropriate security in big events. The WC was the last one.

  4. Thanks Bernham and Ofan. Also, another factor is that Lausanne is bidding for the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics, so if Lausanne were to host that, would that give Sion little chance of hosting 2026? I know a lot of members here don't give the Youth Olympics much notice, but I do wonder if it will influence Sion's possible bid for 2026. Although, Beijing hosted 2008 and Nanjing hosted the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games, 6 years apart, same would happen with Lausanne 2020 and Sion 2026. I know Switzerland aren't as much as an influence as China, but Lausanne is the location of the IOC's headquarters. It will be interesting.

  5. Well, if the 2026 bidding turns out similar to the 2022 bidding, then Sion might have a chance, especially since the Agenda 2020 will be working then. The 2026 bidding race will be interesting. We already know what's happening with the 2022 bidding, we have a lot of early interest in the 2024 bidding, maybe the 2024 bidding can help the IOC's reputation and bring in more interest in hosting. I know Barcelona want to bid, Stockholm wants to bid, so this could be interesting for the 2026 bidding. Maybe this Agenda 2020 wasn't a bad idea after all. (Just to mention, I really tried with the capital letters in this post, hopefully, my effort is showing, sorry for this off topic part).

  6. It's 1 thing to support your country. It's another to be a belligerent asshole about it on a multi-national Internet site. You know your over-the-top support of England is an annoyance to many people here, yet you still don't seem to give a crap. Apparently you have still not learned the lesson that not every on the Internet is kind and nice and if you're going to act like a douchebag, people will respond in kind. Speaking of England, your Queen has a message for you.. I'm sure you're going to tell me how this is mean and rude and really offensive and how dare I invoke your Queen in a response to you. I'm aware of all that. That's the intention. If you want the rest of us to treat you with any sort of respect, 1) you have to earn it and 2) enough with this idea that any time someone talks back to you, it's "who do you think you are" or "don't talk to me like that." What gives YOU the right to talk to us like that? You have been a cancer to these forums since just about the day you joined. And every time you have an introspective moment that makes the rest of us think you finally get it, 5 seconds later you revert right back to bad habits. If this cycle is going to continue (and clearly it's going to because you are incapable of getting the point), learn to deal with it. And just for reference.. yes everyone, I know what I'm doing here. I don't need suggestions how to handle Tony or that I should just consider ignoring him. I considered that. This is my choice.

  7. Did the IOC have any other option in Cuba?
