  1. Im happy you enjoy those graphics. I felt in love in Krakows bid, and Im sure I'll stay keen on it during whole bidding process. Totally right ;-) Sapporo 1972. I received also few suggestions from polish users. I'll upgrade it during weekend. Nope ;-) Im totally not connected with bid comitee. Just want to share my fascination of this project and say you some word about magnificent changes in Poland and Krakow since 1989. Actually I think Polish footballers arent the best ambassadors of polish sport ;-) There were two famous Poles during last years in winter sports. Adam Malysz (sk

  2. AFAIK it'll be one building: the bigger a part is permanent speed-skating venue, the other one is a smaller multipurpose venue that could be used later by students of Cracow University School of Physical Education. There are different versions of this promotional advert you've seen. The whole advert is just directed to home, Polish market. The athletes promoting the whole bid are: - Justyna Kowalczyk (biathlon, 4 Olympic medals, I hope she'll get some more in Sochi), - Adam Małysz (former ski-jumper, 4 olympic medals), - Mariusz Czerkawski (Polish hockey player, who played in Sweden, Ca

  3. I noticed that too after I posted. You know well Rob, just like we've been through in our cities and the Cariocas are finding, EVERYTHING that happens there now for the next seven years becomes slotted into Olympic-related, however tenuous the connection.

  4. Danny you should change the Toronto motto as "Celebrate it Toronto Way" doesn't make sense. Change it to "Celebrate the Toronto Way" or Celebrate it the Toronto Way".

  5. Yoshi, I think postimage creates a small thumbnail from PNGs (which is what you posted). If you post the direct link you get the original. Here it is resized and as a jpg...

  6. ^^ I agree it looks somewhat strange at the exterior but I'm sure it will look out of this world in the inside when the stage is completed (btw, we stopped getting pics of the works inside since a couple of weeks so I guess they're advancing them now) Also the stadium will look beautiful once that ugly temporary roof and hangar like structures are removed for the 2018 WC PS: I guess the hangars are to make big structures enter the arena. Didn't they spoiled there would be Peter the Great era battleships in the ceremony?

  7. No it wont. The idea of retractable roofs on Wisla and Cracovia stadiums was refused. Now Wisla stadium without the roof is host of the ceremonies, and Cracovia stadium plays no role in bid.

  9. Danny, with those tweaks your Toronto logo is one of the best I've seen in any of these comps. Absolutely love it. Snow, maple leaf, fireworks, cauldron, ski tracks..so much in there but it stays cohesive.

  10. Rols and guys, those are my final entries, I swear. I made some minor adjustments (color, vectors) to my Toronto 2026 logo and changed the lettering of Bangkok 2028 logo. *edit* I just fixed something about the "o" in Bangkok.

  13. I know there were some dirty tricks pulled to get this and dirtier tricks to try and make it happen, but eight years or so until it is supposed to go down, I just can't help feeling that FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar is not going to happen. We all remember FIFA World Cup 1986 Columbia...Mexico? I may have to eat my words later, but this is just how I feel.
