I've got 30 odd of these from my Beijing trip and they look cool by themselves individually but they make a godawful display when all framed together.

It was inevitable.

The concept of a Fukushima bid really shouldn't have raised more than a brief chuckle - however the visuals and clever asides really won most of you over. The mascot sealed it for me. Find a manufacturer and get them in stores now.

I am surprised Buenos Aires and Mumbai didn't get huge votes - I really expected the Brazilian bloc vote would have been motivated to shout down the Japanese and Indian bids - but there you go.

I added Doha simply because almost everyone is so anti-Qatar I thought I'd be all clever and throw it in. Buh-bow. No soup for me.

I was disappointed in how well you all behaved during the vote. How innapropriate!

As per universal, deafening demand here is the 2020 Inappropriate Host Competition!

(And yes I know the one we did in 2009 was also for 2020 however the co-hosting plan by Jerusalem and Baghdad didn’t work out, yada yada yada whatever)

The set up –

The IOC is bored. Apart from Rome the 2020 bids are all recent bidders and Jacques is not amused.

Luckily for us he has choked on popcorn while watching ‘Tintin’ and Dick Pound has taken over the IOC leadership! He has dismissed out of hand all the 2020 bidders and is demanding the Games go somewhere utterly stupid to prove his ultimate point – it doesn’t matter where you stage the Games as Coke and McDonalds will drop a bundle to make sure their association with the event doesn’t turn into a advertising nightmare!



He has put together a list of cities that he demands must host the Games - all of them fetid, rat arse helll holes. Your job is to pick a city and with your imagination you must transform it into a not exactly bid worthy place.
