I remember a thread like this for the Vancouver Games; sort of detailing and listing all the best sights to see in London for when you aren't at an event. Hopefully our members from the UK can fill us in on the "can't miss" sites and the places a guidebook wont tell you about, and the rest of us can get an advice/help/inspiration we need. It can be anything from where to get the best fish and chips to which country has the best hospitality house.
I know I've tried to leave some room in my schedule for a few day trips out to other parts of England. I was thinking of visiting Stonehenge, maybe Sandhurst. Anyone have any other recommendations?

Any other GBers on G+?
If so, how are you finding it? Do you like it more, less, or about the same as facebook, twitter, my_, friendster, actual face to face interaction?

Now that we're just over a year out I thought it would be a good time to create a single thread for all of the Olympic marketing projects we're about to see. Post any commercial, print advert, hospitality experience, or anything else than you can find here!
I'll start off with a few commercials.
BP's Olympic spot, touting their "Fueling the Future"
Seems like they're paying to offset the carbon footprint of the British team.
BMW's new advert for the US Olympic Team.
