International Crisis: NZ's Marmite stock has run out!

19 March 2012 - 05:10 AM

:( A disaterous result of the Christchurch Earthquake, with the Factory that makes the delicious yeast spread still closed by damage, Marmite supplies are dissapearing from supermarket shelves. Sanitarium, the makers, said the spread won't be back into production untill July. This has caused mass shopping hysteria stripping supermarkets of supplies. Trolley Rage, and Check-out incidents have been reported (I Sh#t you not). Sanitarium has re-patriated supplies from Australia but it wasn't enough.

 So now we have to endure putting up with that revolting Arse Wipe that our Australian siblings enjoy - Vegemite! Bleeugh!

Australian Federal Politics: WAR! Gillard v Rudd!

22 February 2012 - 02:17 PM

We out here in the Peanut Gallery (aka NZ) are watching this with baited breath...This has been building for a very long time...

It was a dirty tactic that got Julia Gillard the top job - litterally stolen off Kevin Rudd, so toall our Aussie GB members, keep us in the loop.

Apparently it's suppose to hit the fan on tuesday but could be as early as friday?

Horrific Balloon Tragedy in New Zealand.

07 January 2012 - 12:25 AM

:(

A truly horrific Hot Air Balloon crash today has cost the lives of ten passengers and it's pilot after the basket snagged a high tension electrical wire causing a fire that engulfed the basket and detonating the gas tanks.

Witnesses near the Wairarapa town of Carterton watched on in disbelief as the balloon snagged the wire, taking it up as the pilot tried to free the balloon, catching fire, and then expolding as the butane tanks ruptured. Two passengers jumped from the basket but were too high to survive. (approx 200meters). The balloon was making it's landing attempt when tragedy struck.

It is believed a sudden freak gust pushed the decending balloon into the high tension wires.

Investigators are at the debris field and the badly burned bodies will be removed tomorrow. The Wairarapa is well known in the Balloon community as one of the best regions for the industry and it is a major tourisim drawcard due to it's near perfect flying conditions.

This is now New Zealand's worst air-disaster since 1979.

New Zealand Elections 2011

21 November 2011 - 05:34 PM

:) Wow is it three years already?...

Any way most of you know what side of the spectrum I stand in politics (along with Micheal), but let's disscuss anyway...

It's been a torrid three years for the incumbant National lead government...They have done well all things considering.

So would NZ be foolish to change?

...comments, anyone?

Ronnie Biggs

17 November 2011 - 12:38 AM

 A dillapidated, stroke paraylized Ronnie Biggs is trying to gain publicity for his final biography. He is trying to play the 'forgive me' card to the family of the loco driver who was severly bashed in the famous Great Train Robbery. The family, rightfully, has rejected any and all approaches of apology from him.

Biggs' famous escape to Brazil and his ballatant showing off over the years has not endeared him to his fellow countrymen and especially to his fellow co-horts who all did hard time for the ultimatly sucessful robbery as most of the money has never been recovered.

Personally he deserves the painfull slow death he is now enduring...
