Velodrome is half that size so half the cost possibly. Most likely they will propose a veldrome and if costs rise too much velodrome will likely be move to Milton.

Yeah I'm thinking that the Veledrome from the Pan Am Games will be the Olympic venue. It just makes much more sense since Milton's Veledrome will be a permanent Veledrome facility after the Pan Ams. The 2nd one in North America.

No I don;t think a permanent veldorome will be set up. A temporary one that will cost about $30 million should be proposed.

@Quaker2001 exactly.

Can $30 million get a decent looking temp Veledrome? Any examples? I know alot of past Olympic cities dismantled their Veledrome and turned it into something else like in Montreal with it's Biosphere.

Go look earlier in the thread. Venue investment will be really minimal.

Well an Olympic Stadium would have to be constructed and that's a big chunk of the venue budget right there. Plus a new Aquatic centre.

Do you think it's feasible to have the Veledrome in Milton as part of the 2024 bid? It would definitely save a lot of money. It just wouldn't make sense to construct a new venue.

That land near the water would be perfect for any Olympic developments. I'm not sure if anything is already planned to be developed here.

There's also a lot of room left on the Portlands which hopefully is still available for the 2024 bid.

You two can go back and forth but at the end of the day we all know a Toronto 2024 bid is quite imminent. ;)
