I started this thread about the competition venues of the 2010 Commonwealth Games since every time I try to talk about the venues, I get no replies. Here are the competition venues:

Some of the renders of the venues look reasonbly impressive. In particular the aquatic centre and the roofing construction over the main stadium.

The main stadium renderin' I guess is drawn from the concept of a bowl. Considerin' the quality of design which is good but the spectators area seems to just look too far away from the track and field. It goin' to give those at the extreme end a lesser range to view the events which will be organized there.
Am a little impressed by the Aquatic center building. The inside took the Chinese water cube plan, though, having a circular shape from the outside.
What are those things which draped down on the top of the Aquatic center?

Should the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium be under renovation right now for the Commonwealth Games? The stadium should have a new roof added.

The acquatic center is not actually bad at all. The lighting can blind somebody.

What about the venues other than the main stadium and aquatics centre such as the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium?
