Thank you, Wikipedia!
Looks like something that could happen at a WOG.
Also looks like something that could happen at a WOG. It is quite near Istanbul (at least compared to Erzurum), while still being a large city in its own right.
Where's Kendegra to find info on the all-important vertical drop?
And the site is all in Turkish. Any maps?

Bursitis is the inflammation of one or more bursae, or small sacks of oil, in the body. The term bursa (plural bursae) is Latin for purse, which is what a bursa resembles.

The Winter Olympics in Turkey? That's a pretty wacky idea IMO. But then again, hosting the Summer Olympics there seems to be a pretty wacky idea to the IOC. Perhaps this would be their best shot?
P.S. Yo Barron, I see you on the active list at the bottom of the main page for like the first time ever. I thought you hid yourself.

Seriously, no winter olympics in Turkey..I want a summer Olympics in Istanbul for 2016...that would be amazing.. and I think the world would much prefer this over another American city bid... how boring. Leave the winter games to the small club of European nations, Canada and US as well as Japan and Korea and go for the SOG.

Yes it is true! Bursa/Uludag and Kayseri/Erciyes will bid for 2018 or 2022 Winter Olympics!
Is it possible?

Is that where the condition 'bursitis' comes from? After all, tularemia comes from Tulare County, California.
