For me, simply the best Olympic Games ever!!! i ws very young at that time, only 6 years, but i reamember clearly Pavarotti singing Friends for life, moment that i will never forget. I remember also the olympic flame being flamed! The only negative point was to discover that it was fake. i remember the party that Brazil made when the men´s volleyball was champion. And Cobi was the best mascot ever besides Minska (That was the name of Moscow bear?). Last year I went to Barcelona and visited all the olympic structures. simply perfect. I went to Olympic Stadium Montjuc to see The Generación OT concert. Love it! Barcelona was the best!!

does anyone have a full detailed list of barcelona 92 venues ?
As far as I can remember, Barcelona's venues were distributed over 4 areas: Montjuïc, Diagonal, Vall d’Hebron y Parc de Mar, as well as 15 subsees.
Some of the venues that come to my mind are:
-Olympic Stadium (ceremonies, athletics)

-Palau Sant Jordi (basketball, gymnastics)

-Picornell swimming pools

-Vall d'Hebron tennis courts
-INEFC (wrestling, weight-lifting)

-Palau d'esports de Badalona (subsee: basketball)
-Club Patí Vic (subsee: roller hockey)
-Camp Nou (football)

-Palau blaugrana (Judo)

-Banyoles (subsee: rowing)

-Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (subsee: field hockey, cycling)
-La Seu d'Urgell (subsee: canoening)
-Vila Olímpica (sailing)

Piragüismo / Aguas Tranquilas - no. THat would be Kayak - flat water; so in the regular Rowing venue.

Putting aside my own biased preference towards Los Angeles, Barcelona is my favorite SOG's since I have started watching them.
The amazing part of Barcelona, it's beautiful architecture and fantastic Olympic organization aside, is how the city transformed itself. Prior to 1992, I always heard that Barcelona was a dirty, filthy industrial city. After the Olympics it seems that it is a huge tourist destination, perhaps moreso that Madrid or Seville?

Living in Barcelona before the Olympics and living here now means having had the privilege of being a witness of a radical change who turned a grey, industrial city to a colourful and multicultural place where everybody wants to stay longer.
In the name of the city, I invite you all to visit us.
You will always be welcome to Barcelona!
Greetings

Quite a profitable agreement for both sides. A classical win-win situation!
"Beijing 2008" will earn more promotion through a historical football team. Moreover, publicity will focus on the fact that this will be the first time ever that FC Barcelona will put advertisement on its T-Shirt! Not to ignore of course the fact that Barcelona (the city) organized MAGNIFICENT Games in 1992 and this connection hides a lot of symbolism.
And FC Barcelona will be benefited much more than the money that it will receive. It will "invade" in a huge and aggressively opening market, the Chinese one. T-Shirts and other stuff that will be sold there will make Mr. Laporta much richer...
Well done to both sides!

Speaking of Barcelona, didn't it recently host an international conference? I thought I heard something of it in the news.

Interesting. I always thought JAS was from Madrid. Never knew Barcelona was his hometown.

What I liked, out of so many from the 1992 Olympic Games, was the backdrop of the diving venue. It looked like the venue was on top of a large hill. What a view!!!
