look at the high wind can't light off the torch
It's ALL so pagan!! The ancient Druids & Romans must be having the last laugh. All these present day-torch worshippers will burn in a special place in hell!!

I've seen much, much, much more moving segments than that one, and Torino's opening ceremony was rather unemotional and cheesy anyway. But I guess the most important thing is that the choreographer is moved by the ceremony...
Lycka till, Loreen! (representing Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012)

Looking forward to the Games of the XXX Olympiad! Good luck, London!

We can't blame that on Johnny Weir.
Doug Jack returned to Italy in Summer 2009 to also do the Med Games opening in Pescara. That was shortly before I contacted him.

However...the whole structure of the ceremony looks suspiciously very similar to Vancouver 2010...Hmmmm...
Also it seems the next WAG will be in Sapporo since they're the sole bidders so far.

/\ I see what you're saying about that hanging "skirt" device in the center, as looking suspiciously very similar to Vancouver's. And the lighting and camera angles are very unclear and confusing.
But what is a singer from Belgium, beautiful and talented as she is, doing at the opening of an Asian Winter Games, in Asian minor? (Her song goes on forever.) Did Jacques get here in there? Does Kazakhstan hope it will get them extra points with Jacques baby??
