Not quite the same as an Olympic ceremony - but if you wanna see Delta Goodrem get lost in a sea of fireworks while warbling at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony - here ya go! Great song, poor staging.

Together We Are One

From the closing here is Sarah Blasko doing an amazing version of 'Don't Dream It's Over'

Don't Dream It's Over

Also from the closing, here is the Dehli 2010 spectacular -

Well if anyone's interested, here's Grinspoon's performance at the Melbourne Closing. Awesome performance by a great band (at least to me)

We almost forgot the grandaddy of them all

Barcelona

Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Cabelle welcome the Olympic Flag from Seoul at a celebration in Barcelona (not the flag doesn't appear but an example of why Mercury is awesome).

I loved the performance of the Italian anthem, it was great, unfortunately the dvd of the ceremonies I have does not include it.

I have tried to find two clips from Sydney the anthem and the lighting, but can't, i know one of them is on the IOC site, but its poor quality.

I also loved the Italian national anthem performance by the little girl, she was too cute.

Some new YouTube links:

Koreana's theme song for the Seoul 1988 Games: "Hand In Hand". I didn't know that they even had all former Olympic mascots perform in the opening ceremony -- you can see at least Misha the bear (I believe), Sam the eagle and Hodori the tiger dancing together starting with 3:08 minutes. Very cute!
