3 Simple Rules
1. As part of your design submission, you must include the following elements:
Logo: You must include a logo design, do not worry about it being flashy with photoshop ect. As long as you show a design idea it will be fine.
Venue Locations: You must include a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 venue locations. This is your chance to be creative and come up with some really exciting and unique locations.
2. Be creative!
Nobody else has the same city as you! All of the cities have some great landmarks and areas so be as creative as you can and come up with the most exciting bid design.
Here are a few things you could add if you wanted to - none of these are mandatory but you may want to include some these to make your design that extra bit special.
Building design ideas, ceremony ideas, cauldron ideas, cauldron lighter/s, transport planning, branding. Those are just a few of the little things you could add. Remember, just a few sentences explaining each idea is all that you will need.
3. Add photos!
You should take advantage of the many landmarks, public spaces or parks in your city and the judging panel may not be aware of what they look like. So get onto Google Images and add lots of photos, it will help us understand your ideas.
3 Little Things:
1. Photoshop skills are not needed, just your imagination and the ability to type.
2. You are bidding for the 2024 Summer Olympics. This will give you the opportunity to be a little futuristic with your ideas, just remember to keep it realistic!
3. Do not worry about the past, for example if you are designing a bid for a Brazilian city, the fact that Rio is happening will not affect your chances at all. All cities will be judged equally so any terrorism/security/war issues will not be looked at and the judges will not consider them.
Submission Date: Saturday 22nd September. This will give you three weeks to plan and create your bid plan.
Finally
After that, our judging panel will review all the submissions carefully before carrying out a IOC style voting process. The full results will then be published when voting is complete.
Good luck and we look forward to seeing your designs!
