Enlightenment - Music for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games

is now up on iTunes:

Anyone know if they're planning an album for the closing ceremony? Did they do any official songs for these games like they did with the Olympics?

Does anyone know if this will be released on CD too? Have the Olympic CDs and would like a full set.

No idea on the CDs although they're not coming up on Amazon to order so perhaps not.

I really liked the Paralympic music mix - can't wait to do a spin class to the Parade of Athletes!

Does anyone have a list of music played during the Parade of Athletes? I downloaded tha album off iTunes, but it's just 18 tracks - it's not a 2-CD set like the two for the Olympics and does not include the Parade of Athletes.

I know Jamiroquai's "Little L" was played. And then Team GB also came out to "Heroes".

I'm so glad 'Chariots of Fire' is not played at the victory ceremonies, that wore out its welcome on day 1 of the olympics for me though the poor unfortunates still have to wear those hideous purple outfits straight out of a 1950s science fiction B movie.

haha. I do agree re: Chariots of Fire. Shame they didnt take the opportunity to compose a new bit of music by a British composer.

It's the one played during the arrival of the flame and lighting of the Paralympic cauldron:

It's called "Entry of the Flame" and is included in the opening ceremony soundtrack album.
