With just over 12 hours to go I thought it was time to get ready for a live ceremony chat. I can not wait for it to begin! Good to hear that alot of the tickets sold out

I tried to fix up the topic title for you to Paralympics, but my modding privileges don't seem to extend to that. You might want to PM and ask the GMod to do it for you.

*PARALYMPIC Opening Ceremony.

Really looking forward to it and glad that it's a sold-out event and hopefully no empty seats.
Sydney 2000- the best Olympic Games ever.

As, unlike with the Olympic OC and CC - we don't actually know too much.
  • Stephen Hawking will appear either live or by video depending on his health...so I'm not holding my breath for a live appearance...
  • A air display by disabled pilots
  • The mysterious blue plane may be part of this - or something separate.
  • The pulley system/zip wire from the Orbit to the stadium which has been seen.
  • Seb Coe will give a speech.
I think there are a few more things we know but not in much detail. Should be a great show!

The Guardian

Stephen Hawking to feature as narrator as Paralympic opening ceremony

Those behind the Paralympic opening ceremony have revealed it will feature Sir
Ian McKellen, Prof Stephen Hawking, and the "world's biggest apple crunch" as part of a "unique and extraordinary piece of work about challenging our perceptions".

So news that Sir Ian McKellen will feature is new + I don't think we knew that Stephen Hawking would be a narrator for the show.
