I just heared that the union of the border guards is planning a strike in Heathrow on Thursday - has somebody better information about that?

Yes, it is confirmed;
This is in the news here in Uk since mid last week !

Some people says that will have no impact... some other predict some queues at the borders (but that is usual !!! isn't it?)

PM hopes it will be cancelled....

No it won't - don't overexaggerate. People will manage but I can't believe how a union which already has negotiated a £600 bonus (I work in the private sector and have to work during the Games, where the **** is my Olympic bonus) is striking, They're fucking morons.

Yeah, gotta say, it is a pretty low act by those unions to jump into Olympic blackmail.

Can't help but think there could be a certain irony, that it was striking unions who marred the IOC evaluation commission to Paris in the 2012 race. It may not have affected any votes, but ...
