An interesting development and probably a smart move for Azerbaijan (if they do want to host a large international event). Turkey is in a bit of a strange position here. Kinda the favourite, but also kinda saying they are putting Istanbul 2020 as their priority which can be a bit off putting for FIFA. The Caucasus bid won't have that issue. Neither does the 'Celtic Connection' bid. Gonna be an interesting race of the fringes of Europe.

My predictions have been all over the place on this....a fortnight ago I thought Turkey would be the only bidder for Euro 2020 and would be forced to drop their Olympic bid for the certainty of a Euros.
Now though UEFA has other options, the Turkish government are going strong on the Olympic bid, the Turkish match fixing scandal is slowly rearing its ugly head again, and things look quite different.
Could Turkey drop its Euros bid? I'm not saying their FA will but could their government (who are tired of the FA and the match fixing shenanigans) pull the plug on it? And if they do, will Germany step in (we know they didn't want to bid against Turkey given that Platini has personally given his backing to the Turkish effort)?
This has more twists than a.....really twisty thing.

Thats awesome for Baku! Really hope they get it, only competition is Wales/Ireland/Scotland hope Istanbul pulls out (so they can win olympics)
Really hope Baku can pull it off and it will give them a bit of hosting expirience!

Azerbaijan-Georgia!! I would totally support it! I mean the countries at least share a frontier... And I support Istanbul for the SOG

In order for this to have any chance, Poland/Ukraine next month would at least have to run for the most part without any grave issues. If not, then it's most likely gonna be Scotland/Ireland.
Glad though, that Azerbaijan decided to join Georgia. They can get some good hosting expericene from this.

No way! Georgia needs a minimum 4-5 stadiums built + the infrastructure which is far worse then Ukraine's. Azerbaijan is building stadiums but they are way too small.

But it will be a very good experience for Baku, and also for UEFA it will be better to see this bid rather than Georgia alone.
