The Persian name was Dersaadet—Door to the Ultimate Happiness. The Greeks called it Teofilaktos—City Guarded by God; the Romans, Nuova Roma—New Rome; the Arabs, Farrouk—City Separating Two Continents; and the Ottoman Turks, Ummti-diinya—Mother of the World. Now, and since 1923 when the Turkish Republic formally renamed it, it is called Istanbul, meaning just The City—as though there were none other to compare.

... but there is plenty of time - the voting for the two semi-finals will end may 9th - I gave extra long time, since I wanted to give people the opportunity to listen to all songs, who are not ESC-fans, but want to take part in our GB Eurovision Song Contest

@ Markun - I can't count your points for the second semi- final, since Hungary doesn't participate in the second semi-final, but in the first one - please check your two votings (in the first and in the second semi-final)
Whoops! I have changed my votes for both semi-finals, thank you.

Thanks very much to the Northern Territory - I am planning my next Oz vacation in 2013 - when is the best travel time for the NT?
Hi CAF, depends if you like the rain and humidity of the Wet Season.
But yeah, the Dry Season is picking up around now and that's our "Tourist" season. The Dry last from May to October, with our coolest months being June/July. But yeah, heaps of things to do... the Mindil Markets (Asian food, crafts, live entertainment and the sunset over the ocean...) have started up again, and its pleasantly cool at night (I've actually had to wear a jacket the last few mornings... and it was only 22degrees, but thats the Tropics for you).
Not to mention, less Mosquitoes in the Dry.... which is always a good thing...
Have you been down this way before? If you need a few ideas on what to do in the NT let me know....hey?
Do the results from our comps here on gamesbid generally match the real ones? I like to think that most of the songs we have all chosen will go into the final....

So I can give you every single voting of the past - well we had some "very" wrong winners, but we had some "very" good matches between our and the real one...
Maybe I should start an overview over our past GB Eurovision Song Contests...
I had been in Australia in 2007 (I visited Sir_Rols in Sydney) and we flew together to Queensland, but I haven't been in NT yet - I felt in love with Oz, when I was watching the Sydney Olympics - Australia is something very special for me - it has a place in my heart and I am planning to celebrate my birthday in down under in 2013, which is in october - I was in february/march in Australia and so it would be nice to visit it in another season the next time...
