Chile To Host 2015 Copa America After Striking Deal With Brazil
Mar 23, 2012 - Chile, not Brazil, will host Copa America in 2015. The rotating host model made 2015 Brazil's turn to host the tournament, but they are hosting the Confederations Cup in 2013, the World Cup in 2014 and Rio de Janeiro is hosting the Olympics in 2016 so many wanted to see another country host Copa America in 2015. Those people got their wish.
Chile's president of the country's professional football association Sergio Jaude told reporters on Friday that the country would host Copa America in 2015 and that more details would be released on Saturday. It is expected that Brazil will take Chile's schedule turn to host the tournament in 2019.
There had been talk of Brazil giving up the right to host the tournament in 2015 for a while, but the president of the country's FA, Ricardo Teixeira, insisted that it would not happen. Teixeria has since resigned his post, though, opening the door for a deal that will allow Chile to host South America's football championship.

This is also the perfect excuse to renovate some of the chilean stadiums.

Oh, And the light drive out our fears, And the joy drive out our pain, And the nations come to greet us, waving open arms like waves of golden corn. Ever hear us, oh the spirit; of the world. May your light be ever near us, Always lead us from the dark, though we may fall. We will fly. And with love, ever call."

Saturday is gone and no official information about.
I think it can be a good idea, but it's ridiculous to say "Brazil have too much to organize soon, so Chile wants and deserves..."
Conmebol have a rotation politics and Brazil would be doing nothing wrong by hosting the Copa America in the year set for this.
Also, it's not mandatory to Brazil to give up on 2015 Copa America, and Brazil would be not "guilty" for not giving up.
I hope Brazilian FA new president agrees on give the Copa America to Chile. I'm so enthuasistic of Chilean development and I would be very happy to see Copa America there, indeed this would open path to some PanAms in Chile soon.
Chile will host the Copa America 2015, the news is just breaking right now (because of 5 minutes, my last post would have been confirming the event).
Still missing Conmebol official resolution, but Brazilian FA did accept the change, since Chile FA voted for a Brazilian replace Ricardo Teixeira in FIFA Executive Committe (politics stinks).
Chile will host two major FIFA tournaments in 2015:
Copa America and U-17 FIFA World Cup (Is it too much for Chile?

I thought Bolivia was the choice?
I don't think so, at least it shouldn't be. Remember Argentina started the first cycle in 1987 and now the second one last year. The same order of hosts should be repeated (with this one exception) and it's not Bolivia's turn soon.

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela.
But, it's expected to start some "Pan-American Cup" soon, so, this order will be not valid anymore...
BTW, Brazil is expected to be the first host on the 3-Americas tournament (due the huge structure for the World Cup that'll be ready in 2014), maybe this change also give more time to Concacaf and Conmebol to make all agreements on it.
