I hope they go with Olympic Stadium. This will in fact be the first and only stadium in London to hold the Olympics and carry the Olympic name. In 1908 it was White City Stadium and in 1948 it was Wembley. I did like the name Stadium Britannia, but there is already a Britannia Stadium somewhere in the UK.
Farewell from Vancouver. See you in Sochi!

The Britannia Stadium is in Stoke and it's named after the bank who sponsor it, so that will change.
But I don't like the name Brittania Stadium. The word Britannia is an outdated emblem of the Empire.

No, just a realist. The Olympics are about sport first. International prestige second. Business third. The harmony and love crap are bi-products that make for good TV and good business. Does anyone seriously believe that if PyeongChang hosts the Olympics the two Koreas will suddenly merge? They didn't have a lovefest in 1988 - the North protested and then ultimately boycotted the Seoul Games.
The Olympics are a celebration of humanity, but they are also a human celebration so sometimes the bad parts show up too.
Farewell from Vancouver. See you in Sochi!
