tOkyO will nOt fOllOw lOndOn nOr riO. The double-"O"-ed cities of lOndOn and tOkyO will NOT come so soon after each other. Note the hosting coincidences of lOndOn, tOkyO and mOscOw.

1908 - 1st lOndOn Games
- gap of 32 years before the 1st scheduled

(1940 - 1st supposed tOkyO games)
- not real 8-year gap until
1948 - lOndOn
- gap of 16 years until
1964 - tOkyO
- gap of 16 years until
1980 - mOscOw
- gap of 32 years until
2012 - lOndOn
- 8-year gap is tOO sOOn for
2020 - tOkyO again? (Not likely.)

2028 - tOkyO would fall into the proper 16-year gap from the last lOndOn Games & it would be the "8" Asian year.

******************************************
Similarly, Winter Olympic US cities have always had a "Lake" or been beside a "Lake." To wit:

1932 - Lake Placid I
1960 - Squaw Valley (with Lake Tahoe within yelling distance)
(1976 - shud've been a Denver, Like Tokyo 1940, didn't happen!!)
1980 - Lake Placid 2
2002 - Salt Lake City
2022 or 2026 - Reno-Lake Tahoe.

I predicted Rome's collapse. The above will also come to pass. ;)

No; I did not! Being an American, secretly I was wishing it would...but deep down, I knew it was tOO sOOn.

But I just predicted Rome's fall from grace!! http://www.gamesbids...ot-win-in-2020/

And the above index is based on Baron's Secret Bid Matrix.

So St. Moritz isn't beside a lake? And in Russian pronunciation, Moscow's got only one O.

This is positively scientific compared with the Revolving Restaurants Index. What happened?

Maybe he meant 20020. A mistake that has yet happened...

Lots of us predicted Rome's collapse. No great achievement there.

The thing that annoys me is that Baron will casually dismiss this whole thread as if it never existed if Tokyo wins. A Tokyo victory would trigger absolutely no humility in him whatsoever. Still, we're going to have to listen to his insistent protestations for months.....

"...unforgettable, dream Games..."
