No, Rome will wait until Feb 15th. Y should they unveil anything now if the gov't will not back them? (Or, that's the way I would do it.)

Sounds logic... Why would the show it tomorrow if they are not sure if they will bid...

Istanbul will wait too, maybe on February 15th... I've heard that, nothing for sure

yup, very logic, they said that they'll released the logo on feb 9th 2012, but after the problem with govt support, i think they won't release the logo at Feb 9th, so expect it at Feb 15th 2012, our fellow, emre, is the one who said that Istanbul won't release any bid logo until it's confirmed by IOC to be one of the applicant finalist, so expect Istanbul and Rome after Feb 15th

Why should they wait until Feb 15th? The plan was to unveil it on Feb 9th and those problems came out just the last days. So maybe they have had all prepared yet when doubts about gov. support came out and will present the logo tomorrow.

That doesn't make sense (maybe it's clearer in another thread, where emre posted). But the IOC only will confirm, much later this year, whether it makes the candidate stage. Applicant stage is all in Istanbul's hands - all they have to do is get their questionaire in on time.

The logo they can launch in their own good time - though of course most try and have it about now.
