On your design, Paul, maybe I would've given the spheres the 5 Olympic colors and/or merged in a image of the World's Fair Unisphere in there to make it more global.

I did that and turned it into a heart/apple concept too.

yeah, LD, I saw that, but your entry I think had TOO MANY images & connotations packed into it. The heart thing is a little over-used, and many people from rural areas still feel "big" cities are "heartless" so I think that takes away a "loving" image of a big metropolis like NYC. #2...it started to look like a hot-air balloon. Would've just kept it as "globe."

Thank you Krow. I know I will never convince you I have never knowingly stolen an idea in my life. I've given up trying on that front, but thanks for the vote : )

Why not an unappropiate logo comp? ;)
I love that idea... I would love to see some Reno, Tulsa, Tehran, Baghdad, Kabul, bid logos... of course I have been known to have a somewhat dark and perverse sense of humor sometimes... but it would be hilarious!

Glad to see Bezzi getting his due!

(No love for the other logo done in MS Paint, I see :P )

On the bright side, I just discovered RobH's link to Inkscape and Paintnet so the next one should be good...

Thank Gangwon, if I had more skills the final product would be much better. My idea was to create a 3D globe but I would have to create a light effect. I'll learn more advanced programs and improve myself for the next competition B)
