VOTING IS NOW CLOSED:

I've checked all the votes and will not count two of them – Danny's for himself, and Aismanggo's for his brother. In the end, the final result was:

1) RobH (19)
2) Daveypodmore (14)
3) Soaring (10)
4) Paul (10)
5) DannyelBrazil (9)

6) Scotguy (7)
7) Lord David (6)
8) Afiqnadzir (6)
9) Bezzi (6)
10) Aismanggo (6)
11) Demetrius (6)
12) Thatsnotmypuppy (5)
13) Olympic Fan Darcy (2)
14) Titus_kecil (2)
15) Gangwon (1)

Names in bold are the qualifiers who have made the shortlist, and thus the elimination rounds. We have a shortlist of five.

Well done to all of you! And my sincere commiserations to those who missed out - it was an extremely strong field, I think most of us had a particularly tough job in deciding. Sorry to see Puppy's logo miss out, but that's life and GamesBids contests.

The first elimination round will start shortly.

Rols, you said we can vote in our own designs, that's why I voted for myself =]

GBForums have been boring lately... Miss the good discussions and points. The nice follow-ups on buildings and so on...
Now we have only chat with trolls or weeks without the old good boys posting...
So I'm giving a break, but I'll be back soon. Meanwhile I'll be around in SkyScrapercity, where no trolling and city vs. city is allowed.

Voting rules are: <br style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; background-color: rgb(250, 251, 252); ">
  • Post your nominations for the shortlist of UP TO FIVE (5) member's logos from the selection above.
  • You may vote for less than five, but if you post more than five selections your post will not be counted.

  • You MAY NOT vote for your own logo.

  • I hate to have special rules for individual members, but I would ask the Afiqnadzir/Aismanggo brothers also not to vote for each other's logos.
  • All selections nominated will be weighted equally - you need not place your preferences in order.
  • You MAY state your reasons for your decision, but try to be respectful please.
  • Voting will last 24 hours. The poll will close after 9am Thursday January 12, Sydney time (10pm January 11 GMT). After this time, the votes will be collated, and the top five logos in terms of votes will proceed to the first elimination poll round.
  • In the event of a tie for fifth (or higher) place, all tied logos will also move on to the elimination rounds.
  • Voting is limited to bona-fide members of GamesBids as of January 1, 2012. The judge's (my) decision on the validity of votes is final.

Weird, I think I've read the rules for final voting in Christchurch and made some mess, so I ask apologies.
Anyway, I had not a fifth option for my shortist. This wouldn't change anything.

You coudn't nominate your own logo for the shortlist, you can vote for it in the knockout voting.

Funny that no one seized on the idea of Broadway or the United Nations which are very much representative of NYC.

Not even my slogan?

Sorry, I've made a mess with the rules. I'll be more careful next time.

No worries, Danny. It didn't affect the results anyway. And I just thought you were having a joke.
