Thought I'd start a thread to discuss music related to the 2012 games, promo music, albums, etc.

Davey, any idea if they are planning to release official albums? Beijing had about half a dozen or so.

They are definately releasing albums. I have a brochure of London 2012 Licencees and under Universal Music Group listed as product categories are:

1. Official music licencee
2. Official Album releases
3. Music and live acts for the Olympics and Paralympics
4. Bespoke music products

If they can release a royal wedding cd album then they should do an opening ceremony album. The Sydney and Vancouver ceremony cds are great and i love listening especially to the instramental pieces
