I suggest you read it again (specially when I wish them good lucky - they will need), and also read all the news related to the Copa America Argentina just hosted. You can disagree on me (which is fair), but you can see my points are valid, indeed deawebo and other people here can tell you more about the event held in "peronist" Argentina last month. But IOC Executive Director Gilbert Felli told reporters in July that there are "several" cities anxious to apply for the 2018 event. Monterrey in Mexico, the Netherlands and Nigeria have already shown interest. Yes, Toulouse may not be supported, but they have expressed interest since 2009. Per Wikipedia, Kazan, Russia is also interested, although I don't think it has quite the cachet of the other candidates. (Neither does Toulouse, frankly, except that I had a friend from there so I am sympathetic.) Clearly, BA has the most appeal as an Alpha (or close to Alpha) city. If Argentine people keep the Justicialista Party in the power, can be. The same is valid for Venezuela and Bolivia (to avoid these negative rep points of somebody thinking I'm putting soccer rivalry over impartial opinions). Extreme leftish presidents like Mr. Chávez from Venezuela, Mr. Morales from Bolivia and Mrs. Cristina Kirchner from Argentina are destroying the economy and society of their countries. But I see some other emerging South Americans that will be stronger in a near future and can place victorious bid: Specially Chile followed by Colombia and Peru (both countries have been doing really great). Argentines are joking, don't take this bid serious. The "youth" games can't be so hard for Argentina or Chile to organize. Maybe even Peru, Colômbia and Venezuela can.
