Hi all

Seems like I can't spell either.

Will be travelling to Shanghai in 2 weeks. Have any of you been?

Anything in particular I should not miss out on from an "Olympic" or sports perspective?

I know that the Aquatic Centre is now mostly complete for the World Champs but anything else I should look at?

Will try and feature most of the travelling on futurecapetown.com

Been to Shanghai, but didn't pay much attention to any sporting facilties. As a city it's impressive as all hell, though!

Make sure you do the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel - greatest kitsch fest ever.

The grounds surrounding the Shanghai Stadium are nice enough - however stick to the new Pudong area for some amazing skyscrapers. The Oriental Tower is worth a look - and there are some decent restaurants at the Superbrand Mall. Make sure you try Salt Soda - its a product made by Coke but only available in Shanghai. It is a lemony/minty soft drink. Highly addictive.

The Maglev is pricey and over-rated but we all know you are going to go on it anyway! I'd be interested in knowing how the breakdown of the Expo site is going.
