God that fleet is ugly. I guess the sponsors always do something similar though - it's just as international viewers we only ever see the flame, not what is in front or behind it.

There are big Digital displays all up the A1 announcing when slip roads are closed. The test relay run happens tommorrow. I will be there taking pictures so brace youreslves. We havent seen the livery yet of the official vehicles have we so Im hoping to get some shots of everything from sponsor vehicles to anything random that comes along with the procession.

I may not sleep tonight Im so excited!!!!!

The london Olympic torch put through a wind tunnel to check it doesn't go out in high winds.

Is this the first image we've seen of it lit?

I remember when I found out the Vancouver relay was coming through my hometown. It actually surprises me that it never occured to me that we would be a stop along the way, but it was still incredibily special.

By the way: Could that be a hint for the lighting method of the cauldron?

Is there any testing still to do?

Clare Pelly: We need to test it being carried by someone on a zip wire - initial tests have gone very well. We're just making sure for safety reasons.

Interesting... It could be that they want someone carrying it on a zip wire at an earlier stage of the relay, though. But it's interesting nevertheless! ;)
